Durham County CouncilThe `Hub` will be the ultimate accessible environment where young people from Teesdale, Durham and the northeast region can take part in cultural, leisure, sporting recreational/educational activity and will become a second home to the dales young people making it their new 'street corner'. Providing on one accessible site, the widest possible range of activity and services designed by and for CYP through over more than four years of dialog and consultation.

The project brief was not only to create the `Wow` factor from CYP’s input including all their chosen options, but to make the whole development world class by using the latest technology and sustainable building techniques. The activity will take place in a number of `Zones` in and around the `Hub`.

We will provide access to the appropriate professional in a quality environment for whatever the need or service is.

If you would like to make a provisional booking or simply check the availability for any of the activities or facilities at The Hub, please follow the link below. All activities or facilities that are either booked or unavailable will show in Red with a white U.

To make a provisional booking please find the activity or facility you wish to book or check availability and enter the times you wish to book, and the number of people attending. You will also be required to give your name, organisation (if applicable) and your email address, then simply proceed to 'check availability'.

The next screen will advise if this is available and you can then proceed to book all available. If there is no availability you will be asked if you wish to modify the booking, so you may check for an alternative time or date. We will then contact you to confirm the details and the booking.

Not only does it provide a purpose- built and modern refreshment area for young people attending The Hub where they can meet, relax and discuss with others, it also has full internet access, allowing the young people to interact with the wider world.

It also provides an important area where art works of the young people and other local artists can be showcased. The Culture Cafe’ will be the social heart of The Hub.
